Strictly Pants Make More Sperm Than the Dangers of Smoking and Alcohol Consumption

Bad lifestyle such as smoking and alcohol consumption has been implicated as a cause of impaired fertility problems in men. However, recent research by scientists in Britain revealed, using tight underwear were more likely to cause impaired fertility in men than smoking and alcohol consumption.

According to the researchers, changes in lifestyle by stopping smoking and alcohol consumption can indeed reduce the risk of fertility problems in men, but the difference is not too large.
n his study, researchers from the University of Manchester, University of Sheffield, and University of Alberta in Canada involving a group of men that have fertility problems. The findings indicate that lifestyle factors only slightly affect fertility problems in men. The report mentions, this study has not explored the reasons why the men were having fertility problems.

In these findings, the researchers found no relationship between motility (the movement) of sperm with smoking, alcohol consumption, drug use, and being overweight. While using tight underwear has been associated with reduced sperm motility.

In their study, researchers enrolled 2249 men who underwent fertility treatment in 14 clinics around the UK. These men have been trying to get a baby with her partner for 12 months. Participants fill out questionnaires about your background and lifestyle and provide a semen sample to be tested levels of health and swimming speed.

Results showed that about 40 of the 100 men have unhealthy sperm quality. Interestingly, they very rarely smoke, drink alcohol, use drugs, and do not have excess weight than the group of men with normal sperm counts.

As published in the journal Human Reproduction, the causes of declining sperm quality of the men were in the habit of wearing tight pants.

Previous research has stated that wearing tight underwear can slow sperm production by raising the temperature of the testicles.
